Overview
The National Quality Forum (NQF) Measure Applications Partnership (MAP) convened a MAP Clinician Workgroup on behalf of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to provide input on the measures under consideration (MUCs).
The Opportunity
In partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the National Quality Forum (NQF) convened a MAP Clinician Workgroup to provide input on the measures under consideration (MUCs) to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) with a lens for coordinating clinician performance measurement across federal programs.
About the Project
In this project, the MAP Clinician Workgroup, with oversight from the MAP Coordinating Committee, will provide recommendations on issues related to measures that would impact clinicians, particularly in the office setting. The MAP Clinician Workgroup will participate in web meetings to review the MUC list and provide feedback to be included in the materials reviewed the Coordinating Committee.
Objectves
The MAP Clinician Workgroup will help to:
- Ensure the alignment of measures and data sources to reduce duplication and burden, identifying the characteristics of an ideal measure set to promote common goals across programs, and implementing standardized data elements.
The Clinician Workgroup provides annual pre-rulemaking input on the following programs:
- Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
- Medicare Shared Savings Program (SSP)
- Medicare Part C and D Star Ratings
Funding
This project is funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
