Kaye Bender—NQF Population Health Framework Timely
 

Kaye Bender, PhD, RN, FAAN, has served as the president and CEO of the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) since 2009. Previously, Kaye worked for more than 26 years within the Mississippi Department of Health, most recently as deputy state health officer. She also served as dean of the School of Nursing and associate vice chancellor for nursing at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Kaye currently co-chairs the NQF-convened Population Health Framework Committee and has greatly contributed to the creation of version 1.0 of an action guide, Improving Population Health by Working with Communities. Kaye has also served on the Institute of Medicine study committees for “The Future of the Public’s Health in the 21st Century” and “Who Will Keep the Public Healthy?”
