Patient Safety Final Report - Fall 2021 Cycle

Date of Publication:
SEP 2022
Associated Project:
Patient Safety
Abstract
The National Quality Forum’s (NQF) portfolio of Patient Safety Measures targets various aspects of patient safety across healthcare settings. During the fall 2021 measure evaluation cycle, the Patient Safety Standing Committee evaluated four newly submitted measures and one measure undergoing maintenance endorsement review against NQF’s standard evaluation criteria. These measures focused on unintended weight loss, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination coverage, and excessive radiation exposure from computed tomography (CT) scans. Five measures were endorsed by the Standing Committee and the Consensus Standards Approval Committee (CSAC) in this cycle of work.
