Measure Feedback Loop Pilot Implementation Plan Final Report

Date of Publication:

Measure Feedback Loop
Abstract
The National Quality Forum (NQF) measure feedback loop is the process of giving feedback from those who use measures to measure developers and the standing committees that recommend measures for NQF endorsement or re-endorsement. The NQF Measure Feedback Tool is a mechanism to collect this information. This report, informed by a multistakeholder committee, describes a potential implementation plan to improve the NQF measure feedback loop. The plan includes three proposed steps for generating meaningful and actionable feedback; standardizing and streamlining the NQF Measure Feedback Tool and associated processes; and supporting stakeholders to apply measure feedback. The report also details a continuous evaluation and process improvement strategy to ensure that the pilot is agile and optimized to immediately respond to regularly collected data on which elements of the pilot are and are not successful. As NQF learns what works and what does not in improving the measure feedback loop, it can remain open to new and innovative approaches to collect and share feedback through the measure feedback loop.
