Ambulatory Care Patient Safety 2017-2018Abstract
Measurement of patient safety in ambulatory care settings is critical to promoting better and safer care for patients and families. Yet, performance measures that can assess the patient safety in ambulatory care are poorly understood. The Ambulatory Care Patient Safety report identifies measures and measure concepts to help inform the future development of priority measures in ambulatory care settings. The report also includes findings from key informant interviews, gaps in measurement, and a call to action for the development of a measurement framework.
