Patient Safety Measures Complications - Phase 1 

The first phase of Patient Safety Measures - Complications Endorsement Maintenance project focused on medication safety, venous thromboembolism, surgery, and care coordination.  It’s estimated that preventable errors cost the United States $17-$29 billion per year in healthcare expenses, lost worker productivity, and disability. Proactively addressing medical errors and unsafe care will protect patients from harm and lead to more affordable, effective, and equitable care.
