Abstract
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to establish a National Strategy for Quality Improvement in Health Care, which serves as a strategic plan for improving the delivery of health care services, achieving better patient outcomes, and improving the health of the U.S. population. Section 3014 of ACA requires a report from NQF regarding the identification of gaps in endorsed quality measures – to include measures within the National Quality Strategy priority areas – to be provided to the Secretary annually.
