Serious Reportable Events in Healthcare–2006 Update 

The report updates the 27 events identified in NQF’s 2002 report, Serious Reportable Events in Healthcare. This 2006 report also adds an additional event, bringing the total serious reportable events identified by NQF to 28. In addition, the report also summarizes the progress that has been made in implementing the list and provides guidance to those who will be engaged in implementing such reporting systems in the future.
