Cancer Care Phase I-II
The two-phase Cancer Care project began in 2002, when NQF convened a steering committee to address cancer care quality measures. While the committee’s work resulted in no formally endorsed measures, its efforts led to the Cancer Care Phase II project. In 2008, NQF endorsed 19 performance measures for gauging the quality of cancer care in the areas of breast cancer, colorectal cancer, symptom management, and end-of-life care.
