This project seeks to achieve voluntary consensus on performance measures of immunizations for influenza and pneumococcal disease across healthcare settings in the United States.  The goal is to identify a global measure or small set of aligned measures that are based on the same performance expectations.   A total of 27 measures were considered for this project.

The Steering Committee assisted NQF staff in evaluating the candidate measures against the NQF-endorsed TM measure evaluation criteria of importance, scientific  acceptability, usability, and feasibility, as well as standard measure specifications identified by the Committee to achieve harmonization.  The detailed measure evaluations and meeting summaries for the Steering Committees are available for Member review only.

Currently, two measures are recommended as voluntary consensus standards.  At the time of writing the draft report, the Committee was awaiting additional responses from measure developers who requested more time to respond to the conditional recommendations of aligning with the standard specifications; additional measures may be recommended for final voting.
