New Report identifies National Voluntary Consensus Standards for Home Health Care
The NQF has announced publication of a new set of national consensus standards for home care. "National Voluntary Consensus Standards for Home Health Care" provides a set of standardized performance measures, to facilitate comparison of the quality of home health care providers. NQF Convenes Ad Hoc Advisory Committee on Performance Measure Criteria Committee
This committee is being convened to: (1) propose screening or "entry-level" criteria that any performance measure would need to meet in order to be considered for NQF review and possible whether the NQF should endorse performance measures for different purposes (e.g., for public reporting versus quality improvement versus pay for performance versus efficiency, etc.) and provide an accompanying endorsement, and (2) make a recommendation about detailed rationale for the recommendation.
