Strengthening the Medicaid and CHIP (MAC) Scorecard Final Report 

The National Quality Forum (NQF) convened a multi-stakeholder Committee, charged with providing input on the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) Scorecard version 1.0 and to make recommendations for consideration for the second iteration of the Scorecard. The Committee was tasked with determining which measures should be recommended for addition to—and removal from—the current version of the Scorecard. The Committee evaluated the current measures on the Scorecard to identify needs and gap areas, with potential gaps being addressed via recommendations to the Scorecard from measures currently on the Adult- and Child Core Sets. The report summarizes the recommendations the Committee made as well as guidance on the future direction of the Scorecard from a measure set curation and best practices to promote reporting standpoint.
