NQF is primarily an organization of organizations and membership in the NQF is a voluntary commitment to improving healthcare for all Americans. With its broad-based and inclusive membership, public-private nature, open decision-making and consensus processes, the NQF is in a unique position to lead the push toward better quality.
Through the NQF, healthcare and community leaders can have a leadership role locally and nationally in shaping policy to enhance quality.

Organizations interested in membership should submit a membership application by fax, postal mail or overnight mail. Once an application is received, the application is reviewed by NQF staff for completeness and submitted via the Governance Committee to the Board of Directors for approval. Following approval and assignment to one of the four (4) NQF Member Councils, a member is sent an invoice for dues.

Please note that the NQF has two membership dues cycles: annual/calendar year and mid-year. The dues cycle to which an organization is assigned is dependent on the following dues schedule:

*Dues are pro-rated based on when the membership application is received and approved by the Board of Directors.
NQF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
A 'New NQF Member Orientation' Conference Call is convened at regular, periodic intervals and provides an opportunity for new members to meet NQF Staff and increase awareness about NQF programming and projects. This call is only open to members that have not yet attended a new member orientation session. If you are interested in learning about these opportunities, please contact us at info@qualityforum.org.
