We are seeking a Director of Information Technology to create a streamlined operation of the IT Department and align it with the business objectives of NQF. This individual will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the a growing organization of about 60-80 employees, as well as manage an IT staff of 1-2 individuals and provide hands-on support and direction for daily operational activities of the IT department.
Responsibilities include managing and performing the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, hosting arrangements, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals; Lead and oversee implementation and on-going solutions of new CRM; Benchmark, analyze, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems; Oversee and assist with provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services; manage IT staff; Collaborate with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Requirements include Bachelor’s degree and 8 years related work experience; 3 years of management experience. Master of Business Administration with technology as a core component helpful. Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems and hardware, including Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint and XP Professional. Extensive application support experience with Citrix, Microsoft Office, Veritas Backup Exec, and Symantec Brightmail Server. Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development; CRM and iMIS database experience preferred. The ideal candidate will also have outstanding interpersonal skills and proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
