Cardiovascular Endorsement Maintenance 2010Abstract
Measuring the quality of care for cardiovascular conditions is critically important. The human and financial costs of cardiovascular disease are enormous. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States and cost the United States $316.4 billion in 2010. This report focuses on the evaluation of 20 new and 39 endorsed cardiovascular measures undergoing maintenance review for suitability as voluntary consensus standards for accountability and quality improvement.
