Kaizen Improvement Event 

NQF hosted a Kaizen Event focused on making the measure development lifecycle and the Consensus Development Process—NQF’s rigorous method for reviewing measures for endorsement—more effective and efficient.

What is Kaizen?

Kaizen, also known as continuous improvement, is a long-term approach to work that systematically seeks to achieve small, incremental changes in order to improve efficiency and quality. This event will explore ways to better provide timely, multi-stakeholder input into the measure development lifecycle, which will ultimately help develop higher-quality measures more likely to pass NQF’s endorsement criteria.

Background

NQF’s Consensus Task Force originally proposed establishing a process for providing input into the measure development lifecycle. The Task Force believed that regular input would enhance relationships between NQF and measure developers, improve the type of measures submitted for endorsement against NQF’s rigorous evaluation criteria, and ultimately bolster NQF’s measure portfolio.
